What is the biggest difference between the person who takes their big vision seriously & turns it into their reality versus the person who pushes it to the side, still waiting to feel ready, or good enough or to have the clarity to take the next step?

• If you think it is because they have already developed a network of commissioners who are ready to work with them, you would be wrong.
• If you think it is because these people have a portfolio of published material to show case, you would be wrong
• If you think it’s because these people have complete financial security or zero outgoings. No. It wasn’t that.

All of these things can make a difference to some extent. But most who ponder these issues miss the REAL questions that require an answer. We are all different in our aspirations for our practice.

I can assure you, I fully understand. The established networks, the experienced mentor team & the published works may not be at your fingertips now. When I began my independent review journey in 2010 I had an experienced mentor but no established connections & no published works to demonstrate my skill level.

FACT: it is not always the reviewer most suited to the review who secures the commission. In my opinion, those who are skilled in preparing their submission have the edge.
