Accredited SILP™ Reviewers who join Momentum receive opportunities to apply through Review Consulting to undertake SILP reviews.

Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership 


The Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership are seeking an independent reviewer to undertake a Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review (LCSPR).
 

The reviewer will have a background in working with non-accidental injury to non-mobile babies and children, as this will be the focus of the LCSPR. The review will be largely conducted remotely, via email and Microsoft Teams, however there may be a requirement for in person contact with practitioners and family members. Therefore, the ability to travel into Dorset is essential.


The reviewer should have expertise in the following areas:

• Understanding of the national literature and protocols in relation to responding to bruising or other injuries of non-mobile babies and children
• Experience of undertaking a process and systems approach to CSPRs including:

- Examining multi-agency systems and processes around the identification of non-accidental injury of non-mobile babies and children
  - Unpicking any process or system barriers to effective multi-agency working in relation to the identification and multi-agency response to non-accidental in non-mobile babies and children
 - Forming SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound) recommendations for the Partnership to take forward the identified learning from the review

A well crafted application with reference to the circumstances of the particular review is more relevant and desirable than a standard application designed for any review which references a bank of review experience.
