 Ealing Safeguarding Adults Board

Ealing Safeguarding Adults Board is looking for an independent reviewer to complete a mandatory Safeguarding Adults Review (SAR).

The individual was a 35-year-old Polish man diagnosed with a mild to moderate learning disability. He

struggled with reading and writing Polish and English.

He had mobility issues including respiratory, which worsened leaving him reliant on his mother for full

support. The individual and his mother lived in a multi-occupancy house which was deemed unsuitable

and harmful due to his health issues. They found it difficult to navigate the housing bidding system in

Key issues were

• Limited social and community support for the individual and his mother.

• The individual’s declining health and need for specialised care.

• Family’s difficulties in navigating housing and support services.

Review Themes

The review will consider themes relating to.

navigating the multitude of different services.

Draw on the relevant experience you have from your background, the soft skills you can bring to this review & the vision you have for the review in question. A well crafted application with reference to the circumstances of the particular review is more relevant and desirable than a standard application designed for any review which references a bank of review experience.
