Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews for the Gateshead Safeguarding Adult Board
Gateshead Safeguarding Adult Partnership Board is commissioning a reviewer for a Safeguarding Adult Review.
Details:
The Gateshead Safeguarding Adults Board is looking for an Independent Reviewer to undertake a review following concerns raised regarding the safeguarding of residents at a private care home in Gateshead.
The care home was the subject of a Panorama programme which aired in December 2023. The programmes focus was on the employment of overseas workers within the organisation. The focus of this review is the Section 42 safeguarding process; as defined in the Care Act 2014, and the Care Act Statutory Guidance. The review will also look at identification and actions relating to low level concerns, the Safeguarding Adult Review process, and the Serious Provider Concerns process.

The Independent Reviewer will be required to submit:
- curriculum vitae (CV)
- expression of interest letter
- examples of your writing

Draw on the relevant experience you have from your background, the soft skills you can bring to this review & the vision you have for the review in question. A well crafted application with reference to the circumstances of the particular review is more relevant and desirable than a standard application designed for any review which references a bank of review experience.
