Kent Community Safety Partnership seeks an independent reviewer for a Domestic Abuse Related Death Review
The Kent Community Safety Partnership (KCSP) is commissioning a Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) / Domestic Abuse Related Death Review regarding the death of a female in her 50s. She appears to have died from a cause linked to alcohol. There are some reports of domestic abuse by her partner/ex-partner at points over 10 year period, and accounts from the victim that timeframes extended to 30 years.
The Chair will receive a briefing from the KCSP and will be asked to work with the Kent Community Safety Team (KCST) and panel members to ensure the review progresses without undue delay, and to produce a meaningful and specific set of recommendations which can inform practice and procedure.
Needs specific to this review for addressing are regarding:
- Hidden domestic abuse
- Alcohol dependency in response to experiencing domestic abuse
