Stockport Safeguarding Adults Partnership seeks two reviewers for two SAR's.
Summary of the Case 1:
The SAR is in relation to the deaths of four women whilst in hospital. The deaths were not related and occurred over a 20 month period. The women were not ordinary residents of Stockport and the SAR panel in this case therefore involves representation from other Board areas.

Summary of the Case 2:
The SAR is in relation to a 76-year-old female who died whilst in hospital. She had mixed Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia, and had a grade 2 pressure ulcer.
At the inquest HM Coroner concluded the adult died from osteomyelitis where the deterioration of the sacral pressure ulcer was not recognised until she became very unwell and attempts to treat it were unsuccessful.
