Who can apply for SILP Reviews?
Accredited SILP™ Reviewers who join Momentum receive opportunities to apply through Review Consulting to undertake SILP reviews.
Not yet SILP accredited?
It is useful to browse the reviews on offer at the same time as undertaking your studies in SILP School. Even if you have not yet graduated or signed up with us, please do take a look. This will improve your understanding & your potential fit for new work that may arise in future
Review Opportunities
2 x Safeguarding Adult Reviews and 2 x Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews for the same Safeguarding Partnership
An independent reviewer is sought for 2 SAR's and 2 LCSPR's
The Cases
SAR 1
A 55 year old homeless man found dead in city centre. A range of agencies involved regarding housing, mental and physical health. There is some learning around self neglect that mirrors previous local and national SARs but need to focus on learning around how agencies worked together. The Case Review Group conducted a review in rapid time to illicit initial learning.
SAR 2
A care leaver aged 25 with a history of substance misuse. Previously living with his Mum it was reported that he became intentionally homeless. He now has amputations above the knee. The review will look at the transition from childrens to adult services.
LCSPR 1
16 year old was severely malnourished and missing from school for 4 years. She moved areas therefore 2 other partnerships are also involved.
LCSPR 2
A baby was found with multiple fractures. Possible case of the infant being fallen on during a domestic incident. The family are Slovakian Roma and have left the country.

New reviewers begin their independent review journey every day. Draw on the relevant experience you have from your background, the soft skills you can bring to this review & the vision you have for the review in question. A well crafted application with reference to the circumstances of the particular review is more relevant and desirable than a standard application designed for any review which references a bank of review experience.
